Today I managed to add Disqus to my blog. Is a prety easy step to make my play static blog a liitle bit dynamic.

I just went directly to disqus.com and after a couple of logins I ended up at this publishers page and “started to engage”.

I just loged in, added my blog name and them did some small coding:

  1. I created a comments.html page in the _includes folder.
  2. I added ```<div id="disqus_thread" class="wrapper"></div>
    • RECOMMENDED CONFIGURATION VARIABLES: EDIT AND UNCOMMENT THE SECTION BELOW TO INSERT DYNAMIC VALUES FROM YOUR PLATFORM OR CMS.
    • LEARN WHY DEFINING THESE VARIABLES IS IMPORTANT: https://disqus.com/admin/universalcode/#configuration-variables / / var disqus_config = function () { this.page.url = PAGE_URL; // Replace PAGE_URL with your page’s canonical URL variable this.page.identifier = PAGE_IDENTIFIER; // Replace PAGE_IDENTIFIER with your page’s unique identifier variable }; */ (function() { // DON’T EDIT BELOW THIS LINE var d = document, s = d.createElement(‘script’);

s.src = ‘//melaniaandrisangithubio.disqus.com/embed.js’;

s.setAttribute(‘data-timestamp’, +new Date()); (d.head || d.body).appendChild(s); })(); </script>

``` in _layouts/default.html 3. Push to git… and voila :)
