After learning a little bit about the technologies needed to have a blog with Jekyll on github, now I want to add google analytics on my blog to be able to see who is visiting it.

To be able to do this I need to do the next steps:
1. Create a new account on google analytics for my blog following this tutorial.
2. Create a new file in the includes folder named google_analytics.html
3. Add the script generated by google into it

    <script>
      (function(i,s,o,g,r,a,m){i['GoogleAnalyticsObject']=r;i[r]=i[r]||function(){
      (i[r].q=i[r].q||[]).push(arguments)},i[r].l=1*new Date();a=s.createElement(o),
      m=s.getElementsByTagName(o)[0];a.async=1;a.src=g;m.parentNode.insertBefore(a,m)
      })(window,document,'script','//www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js','ga');

      ga('create', 'UA-72492800-1', 'auto');
      ga('send', 'pageview');

    </script>

  1. Include the link to it into default.html

    {% include google_analytics.html %}

  1. And now I need to make my blog known … Tada… :D

P.S. To see the code properly I used the highlight Liquid tag and to be able to include de Liquid code as a paragraph in my post I used the raw tag.
